7-Day Egypt and Jordan Trip - Christmas Offer
Two of the ancient world's greatest civilisations, one week, one seamless Egypt and Jordan trip — timed for Christmas and New Year, when both countries are at their most comfortable.
Winter is the smart season for this combination. Cairo in late December sits in the low twenties, which means walking the Giza plateau without the heat that flattens visitors in summer. Petra is cool, clear and far quieter than in spring. And the Dead Sea, at the lowest point on earth, stays warm enough to float in comfortably even in the depths of the season.
The trip splits neatly in half. Three nights in Cairo cover the Great Pyramid of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus, the Sphinx, the Valley Temple and the Grand Egyptian Museum — the vast new home of Egypt's collection, standing within sight of the pyramids themselves. You'll also spend a full day on Cairo's layered history: the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization with its royal mummies, the ancient churches of Old Cairo, and the Salah El-Din Citadel looking out over the whole city.
Then a short flight carries you to Amman for the Jordanian half. You'll stand on Mount Nebo where Moses is said to have looked out over the promised land, see the extraordinary 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land in Madaba, and float in the Dead Sea. The finale is Petra — through the Siq on foot, to the moment the Treasury appears in the gap ahead.
Everything is handled: airport meet-and-greet in both countries, private air-conditioned transfers, English-speaking guides, entrance fees and lunches on touring days.
Festive-season departures on this Egypt and Jordan trip fill early, and flight availability between Cairo and Amman tightens quickly in late December. If the dates work for you, it's worth confirming ahead.
